I am going to talk a little bit of my experiences during my short trip to Bintan Island, Kepulauan Riau. Well, Indonesia, which is country that i lived for several years right now has so many beautiful destinations to go, especially its natures. My native place, Batam is a lil bit close to Bintan island in about 1 hour thru ferry to Tg.Pinang and 1 hour with road transportation. The nearest harbor to reach Tg. Pinang is Telaga Punggur harbor, but sadly to be told, i didn't like all the harbor in Batam, because they're such a mess and most of them are still under renovation. The only pretty good one is Harbourbay for domestic and international departures and arrivals. Even, Batam Centre harbor not too effective because of so many tourists and its place couldn't handle a lot of 'em and so crowded.
Back to the topic, i just spent about 2 days 1 night in Bintan island and the temperature was super hot. And the road way to Bintan took about 2hours from Tg. Pinang. I really wanted to go to Lagoi a long time ago before the 2nd semester's final test started but because of i had a little time to stayed in Batam and also i was going to join the ospek's committee, so yeah i didn't hope too much. And gratefully, mom offered me that trip because i had that cum laud gpa as she promised and i said yes.
The next day after i landed in Batam, we went to Tg. Pinang first for 1 day because dad had a meeting and the next day, here we were in Lagoi, Bintan Island. Like i said, the temperatures was super extremely hot like really. We arrived at 01.00 pm and stayed in swissbel-hotel resort. The hotel was new and not too much domestic tourists who stayed there well maybe just one to two families include mine lol and the others were foreigners. The place was really cozy and comfort, and the scenery just amazing and fascinating lol seriously. A lot of a tall coconut trees and a well good green views. And also, it took 5 minutes just to reached the beach and i have no ideas because it was super beautiful with the blue see and white sand like white sugarcane. I am totally in love with this beach.
We had a plan, we wanted to swim in the beach but we just couldn't handle the weather that time lol because the sun might be right up us. So we decided went back to the hotel and ate. But i suggest you to buy a food outside the hotel because all the prices tags were so mad lol i mean super expensive because all the things here are counted by SG$ and i just cant. Well, if we can get a portion of nasi padang just about Rp.10.000 at the outside, but right here it cost a ten multiple times or more. And in the early evening, we went back to the beach again and unfortunately the sea was just subsided. But we waited till the sunset showed up and it was the very best part of it.
And the next morning, we walked around the resort and saw a fascinating nature and being amazed with it.
So, not just Bali that offers a beautiful nature like this, but in Bintan island, Kepulauan Riau also had this beautiful scenery. However, i didn't really enjoy my trip to bali last time and i guess i need to go there again soon. Hm.
