“I guess I should explain. I'm not exactly your typical sixteen-year-old girl.
Oh, I seem normal enough, I guess. I don't do drugs, or drink, or smoke-well, okay, except for that one time Sleepy caught me. I don't have anything pierced, except my ears, and only once on each earlobe. I don't have any tattoos. I've never dyed my hair. Except for my boots and leather jacket, I don't wear an excessive amount of black. I don't even wear dark fingernail polish. All in all, I am a pretty normal, everyday, American teenage girl.
Except, of course, for the fact that I can talk to the dead.”
― Meg Cabot, Shadowland
Alright, i know I've been so unproductive lately, pardon me!
Sooo here i am, going to do a review about books, well my favorite books, and those are written by a fabulous novelist Meg Cabot! Hooray! The first time i bought it when i was in my first year in mid school and it was a translate book but still a very formal translate which is i found very funny because the translator tried to translate an Americans slang into Bahasa and it sounds so um...what can i say? kind of weird? well i do think so.
Literally, the first book i bought was an old edition because it was being published in 2000 (after i googled it lol) but i red it when it was 2009?? and the fun facts is: all those 6 books were being published in 2000-2005. so i don't know whether those books just came late or was it just me? lol but at least, I've found them hehe.
The mediator series consist of Shadowland, Ninth-Key, Reunion, Darkest-Hour, Haunted, Twilight, Proposal, Remembrance.
Let's talk about the shadowland, where the first journey had begun. It told about Suze, a Brooklyn girl who moved to CA, Carmel because her mom re-married to a guy named Andy with 3 sons after her dad passed away. And in her new room, she met a handsome guy was sitting in the corner, silently. And guess what? he is dead. Suze, as a mediator (as she believes she is a helper for dead people to fix their problems when they were still alive) could see him. Well, for more information, could see an extra hot guy even the fact he is no longer exist in this world. (even i have crush on him also) *sigh*
I won't bug by telling a whole story and besides, i am to lazy to do so lol. As the outline of all the books, in every books it's obvious that it has a ghost role to exorcist either by Suze or even Pastor Dominic. The plot is very fascinating and unpredictable and also it has a horror scene when i red it in the late night i felt a lil bit creep lol. (even i stopped and continue it till morning came). And i freaking am in love when the romance between Suze and Jesse appeared, the way he called Suze by querida in Spanish and it means sweetheart. And fun fact is he never called her by her nickname suze but Susannah which is i found it very cute. And he is old fashioned because if i could recall, he died for 150 years ago so it's been a century and more. He did not want sex before marriage while Suze a very metropolitan girl want it so bad but frankly she can handle it. (It was hilarious to the part when suze flirt him but he didn't even moved by it lol).
And yes Paul! I forgot what the exact book his role was started but he likes Suze and also he is a mediator as well! He is tall, muscular, hot, and a lil bit dickhead. well, very actually. and In the twilight series, he found a way to do a time travel and what if it's success to bring Jesse back alive and not being killed that time? Sure, you have to read the book to know further ;)
But, i still haven't read the Proposal (published in 2016) book because i haven't found it in any bookstore. (Please anyone tell me where do can i get it???) (I tried online but it must be in credit card because it's overseas selling but i don't have it lol) (Already looking for in Periplus and Books and Beyond but still minus). Its story tells about Suze's life after she graduated from high school. But of course i have faith in Meg, she made it as interesting as the rest of the books. Thumbs up for her! because i love her masterpiece so much like Princess Diaries Series (being filmed, played by Anne Hathaway as Princess Mia), Heather Series (Detective story), and etc. She is an author who write in different kind of genres and she's great in it.
The last but not least,
A very friendly suggestion from me is, you need to read in chronological order to make the story clear :)

ps: Jesse is my forever book boyfriend since childhood.
