To those food seekers and instagram-able places haunters, as i had spent my new life in Yogyakarta and the most well-known destination was its cheap foods but you already got the taste of masterpiece, here you go! I will recommend some places that i have visited obviously and i'll go with the price lists also and the menus up there. 

In the past 1 month, i visited 2 cafes all at once in one day to accompanied my friend to do her TA of promoting new cafes. So we decided to do a field survey at Kunena Eatery restaurant and Gorich Cafe. And I had a random thought of making an article about the recommendations of culinary places in Yogyakarta, since they are still fresh!

So here we go!

1. Kunena Eatery Restaurant.

It is located in Jl. Komisaris Polisi Bambang Suprapto No. 4, Gondokusuman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. It is near with Lempuyangan's flyover, if you come from the south-ward then you just turn right and if you come from the northern so please turn left. (finally now i knew how to determine the direction in java, South to North or opposite, lol.)

It's dominant with the colours of navy-blue and white. And also the interior design really eye catching, and really fit for your instagram's feeds.

The menus, just like the rest, they are western foods and beverages. i think, western foods becoming a trendy now a days.

Prices range in between 15K-35.5K rupiahs for beverages and 24K-155K for foods. And it obviously really expensive for "Anak Kost".

So, be smart of waste your money, lol. And we were a little bit shock of the prices list because it was our first time and the restaurant was still new, then we just ordered something not too expensive but the tastes still worth it though.

2. Gorich Bar and Kitchen.

It is located at (Jl Afandi Soropadan No 74C) and it is near with Jembatan merah at Gejayan St. The place is really cozy and it usually used for birthday events and etc. 



It has two types of rooms, they are indoor and outdoor. The picture above was taken in outdoor spot and that was the view of indoor rooms from the outside, more or less.

The interior design was so full of woods, start from the decorations,  bench and table, etc. And i guess it has the theme of nature.

Well, i forgot about the price range, but i can say they are all in averages for anak kost's wallets. And it also had a good taste for meals.


It offers Oriental, Western, Indonesian foods as well.

Both of the restaurants are still new, but it already gain a lot of visitors. And has the perks of each them.

But, I prefer Gorich Bar and Kitchen comparing to Kunena, because of beside it offers a lot of different types of cooks, but also a good sense of prices list. But after all, it all depends on your tastes.

I'll come with another culinary spot recommendations in Yogyakarta.
